Here’s a look at what is happening around eUnited.
Samsora Places Second at Smash Conference United
With his back against the wall, Ezra “Samsora” Morris and his main character, Peach, clawed through the losers bracket and finished runner up at the 2019 Smash Conference United.
After losing in pool play, Samsora began in the first round of the losers bracket and won nine consecutive single elimination sets. Samsora lost in the grand finals to Echo Fox’s MKLeo. Overall, the tournament featured 361 entrants.
Next up for Samsora is Genesis 6 on Feb 1. in Oakland, Calif.
PUBG Qualifies For NPL Phase One
After a grueling week of competition, eUnited PUBG soared to the top of the leaderboards during preseason play at OGN Studios.
In order to qualify for the National PUBG League, eUnited had to place in the top-16 out of 32 contending teams. After playing 12 matches, eUnited managed to rack up two victories and rank third highest in team kill points en route to a fifth place finish. Taylor “TaylorJay” Johnson had 30 kills, which was second highest individual performance in the pool play portion of the competition.
In the grand finale, which consisted of the 16 qualified pro teams competing for a $100,000 prize pool, eUnited couldn’t get any momentum started, finishing in last place.
The first phase of the NPL, which will take place at OGN Studios in Manhattan Beach, Calif. is set to begin later this month.
Counter Strike Ready For IEM Katowice Minor
After a long holiday break, eUnited Counter Strike will travel to Katowice, Poland to participate in the Americas Minor.
Eight teams will fight for two spots into a larger qualifier for IEM Katowice in late February.
eUnited will begin play on Jan. 22 against FURIA and is in Group B alongside Team Envy and TeamOne.
