The undefeated #eUSMITE team just added a former world champion.
Following the news of Connor 'Vetium' Roberts stepping away from the team to focus on school back home, eUnited is proud to welcome a legendary SMITE player to the squad - Emil "emilitoo" Philip Stärnman.
The swedish player joins eUnited, most recently competing for NRG Esports in the 2019 Smite World Championship where he placed 5-6th. Notably, emilitoo is a former SMITE World Champion, as he won the big one with NRG in 2017. Additionally, he was awarded MVP for his performance that tournament.
Shortly after the tournament, emilitoo retired from competitive SMITE due to the new format of the SPL. However, when an opportunity to play on one of the best teams in the world came knocking, he answered the call.
When asked about the signing, General Manager Daniel Clerke had this to say:
I am absolutely thrilled to be adding a legend of the Smite scene to our roster. Emilitoo boosts the experience our roster already had while adding incredible talent and work ethic. I expect great things out of these guys and cant wait to see how high they can fly together.
#eUSMITE returns to action next week, as the team puts their undefeated record on the line against the Pittsburgh Knights.
