eUnited wins Yellow Group at the 2017 CWL Global Pro League, qualifies for Playoffs

In convincing fashion, the eUnited Call of Duty team takes home first place to win group yellow in MLG’s 2017 CWL Global Pro League. Score wise, eUnited had a match total of 17 wins and 10 losses, winning all of their sets except to the second place team Luminosity gaming in two close 3-2 and 2-3 sets.

Looking back at the two close matches against Luminosity; In game one, LG was leading with 2 games before eUnited came back with convincing wins on Frost uplink and Scorch Hardpoint to reverse sweep for the win making this set one of the must see matches for group yellow.

In game two, the matches were more intense as eUnited and LG traded maps to force a game 5. This was an advantage for eUnited as they were more adept than their opponents in playing long series. Unfortunately LG would take the win in game 5 on Search & Destroy in a very close 6-5 score.

The team will now advance to the playoff rounds at MLG Arena in Columbus where they will play against fellow top teams in groups red, blue and green. In addition, for winning group yellow eUnited will now be eligible for pool play in CWL Stage two in Anaheim.

Head coach Matthew “Burns” Potthoff had this to add:
I’m super proud of the how the guys played this past weekend. They continued to show their resilience when everything looked like it was going down hill. It’s something special about this team that separates them from everyone else in their field. I’m excited for playoffs and the future of this team
