eUnited take home 2nd at CWL Dallas

In one of the most thrilling grand finals in Call of Duty esports history, eUnited Call of Duty took home 2nd place at the Call of Duty World League Dallas Open along with $48,000.

The Justin “SILLY” Fargo-Palmer lead team faced OpTic Gaming once again in the grand finals after taking down FaZe Clan in the Losers Bracket finals in a dominant 3-1 performance. OpTic took an early 2-0 lead in what could have been a single series elimination for the team before eUnited rallied back and pull off the reverse sweep, winning all three of the following maps to force a second best-of-five series.

Heading into the second series, OpTic came out strong once again, amassing yet another 2-0 advantage but in true eUnited fashion, the boys would take the following Uplink and second Hardpoint to force another game five Search and Destroy. With the threat of yet another reverse 3-0 sweep, OpTic brought out one of their best performances as they crushed eUnited COD 6-0 on Scorch SnD to secure the CWL Dallas Open championship.

Despite this loss, the young eUnited team proved they weren’t just a “one and done” team after winning the CWL Atlanta Open last month and reminded the COD community they are a top contender, they are a team to be reckoned with and they’re here to stay. With Dallas now in the past, eUnited will look towards the Call of Duty Global League to face off against the top 16 teams in the world April 20 in Columbus, Ohio for a share at the $700,000 prize pool.
